A 24 Hour Comics event!

This weekend from noon Saturday to noon on Sunday we'll be helping our freinds at Wild Pig Comics II promote their annual 50% off sale by staying up ALL NIGHT and making comics! If you're anywhere near Kenilworth NJ this weekend, stop on in, no matter how late it is!
We wont be the only ones there, either! Joining us in this marathon event will be Erica Hesse of The Key, James Hatton of In His Likeness, David Gallaher and Steve Ellis of High Moon, Bill Ellis (no relation to Steve Ellis), Pete Stathis of Evenfall, and Danielle Corsetto of Girls with Slingshots!

As much as I love the 24 Hour Comics Challenge, this time I'll be using the time to get ahead on deadlines. Peter, however, will take up the gauntlet and write and draw 24 pages in 24 hours or less!

Zuda week at Schwapp! SCHWAPP!

The folks over at SCHWAPP online have excellent taste in webcomics. They reviewed Street Code, High Moon and of course, The Night Owls. You can find some reviews of the Zuda November Competition as well!

Happy Birthday to ZUDA!

Today is the one year anniversary of the launch of ZUDA! Man, I remember that day well! The whole website had that "new website" smell. I remember reading Bayou first, then reading the competition comics. I thought to myself, "Myself," which is how I address myself when thinking to myself, for myself is me, "Myself," I thought, "These comics are good, and so different from what we're doing... does Night Owls even stand a chance?!?" Then I logged in and voted for High Moon.

It also happens to be Free Pie Thursday, so have a piece of pie in honor of Zuda! Then go there and read free comics... FREE COMICS!!!

Timony Twins at San Diego Comic Con 2008!

Hey Everybody,

For the first time ever, we're going to San Diego for the Comic Con! If you are interested in meeting us, or if you've met us but want to do it again, here's where we'll be!

Thurs-Sat, we will be at the Zuda table signing Zuda comics and giving away postcards from 2-3.

Sunday, we will be signing from 4-5, and in the morning we'll be speaking at the Zuda Comics Panel along with a whole mess of Zuda guys. Here's what it says on the comic con schedule:

10:30-11:30 Zuda Online Comics— Read. Vote. Create. With those three little words, Zuda is changing the face of webcomics. Panel participants include Zuda staff Richard Bruning, Ron Perazza, Kwanza Johnson, and Dave McCullough, along with creators Jeremy Love (Bayou), Bobby & Peter Timony (The Night Owls), David Gallaher & Steve Ellis (High Moon), Nick Doan (Pray for Death), Johnny Zito & Tony Trovarello (The Black Cherry Bombshells), Sheldon Vella (Supertron), and Caanan Grall (Celadore). Listen as they ramble incoherently, pausing occasionally to make a good point. Room 4

ADDITIONALLY, when we're not in the places mentioned, you may be able to find us at a table in Artisit's Alley, which we are sharing with the hyper-talented Steve Ellis, artist on Zuda's HIGH MOON. Table GG-04. If we're not there, you can still buy some Night Owls original art, or a print.

See you at the Con,

Peter

Ellis and Colden draw the Night Owls!

I was pretty busy at the NY Comic Con, but I still found some time to harass some artist friends for sketches! A couple of them even decided to draw some Night Owls stuff for me!
Here's an awesome sketch by High Moon's Steve Ellis:

This drawing of Roscoe is by Kevin Colden, author of Fishtown on Act-I-Vate and Stangle/Switch on Zuda:

Thanks, Fellas!

Mabel's Wedding

If you haven't seen this week's Night Owls, go check it out! There are a couple cool cameos in the first panel!

Please note the faceless gent in prison garb, he is none other than Mr. You, the villian captured on page 1 of Night Owls! Remember him? Can a guy who steals faces remain in prison for long? Only time will tell.

Also, you may have noticed our favorite is-he-is or is-he-ain't werewolf, MacGregor! He's the star of our second favorite Zuda comic in the whole wide world! HIGH MOON! It's a fun read, so in those long lonely hours between Night Owls updates, go check it out!
