Girls With Slingshots Guest Comic!

My friend, Danielle Corsetto, has a webcomic going called "Girls With Slingshots" and its one of the best ones going. Its consistently charming and funny and the art style is graceful and confident.
So when I heard that she was pressed for time this week, I offered to do a guest comic for her.
The comic, written by Peter and drawn by me, is up now so I invite you to have a look.

Also, remember this?
This is a picture of Dannikka the Elf from our new comic "Minion Maze" that I penciled and Danielle inked & colored.

It looks like Danielle isn't done helping out Minion Maze. She linked to the comic on her site, and we've already got a HUGE traffic spike from her large and loyal fanbase coming over to check it out!

Thank you, Danielle, and thank you to all the new people who took the time to follow the link! I hope you stick around!

New Webcomic launching tomorrow!

Tomorrow I will unleash a new serialized graphic novel on the web! It will be drawn by me, (Bobby Timony) and co-written by me, Peter Timony, and our friend and frequent collaborator Chant Macleod!
Five pages will be up at launch with a new one every week on wednesdays. If you'll be in NYC this weekend, why not stop by the MoCCA fest and say hi! We'll be at table #332. I'll give you a free peek at the first 8 pages if you ask nicely!

So, what's this new comic about, you ask? Well, here's a little preview for you...

Straightening out those crooked scans

Here's a quick and easy photoshop tip for you that will save you an endless amount of headaches if you don't already know about it.

How to straighten out crooked scans.

Tired of meticulously aligning your page on the scanner only to have it look infuriatingly crooked when you scan it?!?

Fuggeddaboudit. Here's how to fix it easy in photoshop.

1. Under your eyedropper tool is a ruler tool. Select that.
2. Find a level line on your scan. In comics, this is usually a border edge.
3. Click on one end of the border and drag the cursor across the page. As you move the curser you should see a line forming behind it. Let go of it on the other end of the border that you want straightened out. This should lock the line in position along your crooked border.
4. Go to Image>Rotate Canvas>Arbitrary. A value and direction will already be decided based on your ruler line. Click OK.

TA DA! Your image is nice and straight! Crop it to the proper size and you're done. You can thank me later by buying me a beer.
